Georgia Broe Weddell is an performer, producer and writer. She graduated from Griffith University’s Bachelor of Arts in Contemporary and Applied Theatre in 2014, and a Diploma of Events Management in 2016. Georgia is currently working as assistant producer of The Game, and PR for The Stan Dup Ensemble's Devise It Yourself Festival. As part of her theatre course, Georgia has played the role of both actor and deviser in the production Ship of Fools, performed on the Brisbane River under the direction of Shaun Charles (September 2014), Dog on Jetty, which ran for a season at Griffith University under the direction of Shaun Charles (May 2013) as well as being a part of Daniel Keene’s The Rain under the direction of Steven Mitchell Wright (October 2012). Other notable theatre productions include Liberation, as part of the 2013 2High festival, Woyzeck (June 2013), Kaspar (June 2012), and NORPA’s Engine at La Boite (September 2010). As an artist, Georgia is also passionate about interactive performance, and has been a part of Woodford’s immersive street theatre The Game performing in the 2013/14 and 2014/15 festivals, and as assistant producer in 2015/16 festival.
