Welcome to 2016! This year The DIY Festival will be bigger and better! But to do that, we need a team!
This year we’ll be selecting our team from an application process. If you have the passion to make art work and the skills to do that, why not apply? We have 8 roles available for applications and we are super excited to see who we might be working with in the new year.

Below are the roles available with a brief description of what the position will entail. To apply, follow the prompts at the bottom of the page.
Theatre / Dance Co-ordinator
Seek, aid and support theatre and dance artists through the application process, creative process and show production for the DIY Festival 2016. The successful candidate will be in charge of all decisions made in regards to these fields, including selection, organisation and the main point of contact for these artists. Attends weekly meetings.
Music Co-ordinator
Seek, aid and support all musical acts for the DIY Festival 2016. Successful applicants will be in charge of all decisions made in regards to these, including selection of acts and festival song, organisation and the main point of contact for these artists. Attend weekly meetings.
Visual Arts / Multimedia Arts Co-ordinator
Seek, aid and support Visual and Multimedia Artists for the DIY Festival 2016. Successful applicants will be in charge of all decisions made in regards to these fields, including selection, organisation and will be the main point of contact for these artists. Attend weekly meetings.
Producer / Venue Manager
Organise, plan and run events. Maintain a steady budget and ensure teams work within acceptable safety guidelines and manage all on site activity. Create and maintain an efficient and well communicated schedule throughout the process, and extensively schedule the festival week. Attend weekly meetings.
FoH / Production Assistant
Successful applicants will be in charge of weekly production notes and online organisation folders. Will recruit, organise and run Front of House for the Festival. Assist the Producer where necessary. Attend weekly meetings.
Marketing Director
Organise and execute all marketing content and strategies for The DIY Festival 2016. This includes but is not limited to; website, social media sites, articles, marketing campaigns, and weekly newsletters. Attend weekly meetings.
Head Stage Manager
Work with the producer to source all tech requirements and venue specifics. Create and maintain a professional Prompt Copy for the Festival (but not individual shows). Organise and coordinate the work of the production crew while on site. Attend meeting fortnightly.
Logistics Manager
Delegate tasks and ensure they are completed within the acceptable amount of time. Manage and catalogue signed documents, and oversee all infringement cases. Attend weekly meetings.
