Silvan Rus is an actor, writer and musician. His Queensland Shakespeare Ensemble (QSE) credits include Titus, The Tempest, The Bomb-itty of Errors, Mary Stuart, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, QSE Shorts: Instant Romeo & Juliet and The Half Hour Hamlet. Other credits include 1066: The Bayeux Tapestry Brought to Life for Small Crown Productions and Cold for The Earthcrosser Company. In 2014, Silvan took part in PlayWriting Australia’s Lotus Playwriting Program to write his first play Carpe Noctem or The King of Spades. His blog, talesofapoorplayer.wordpress.com, features his sonnets after finding his verse with QSE.

As a musician he can play the guitar, piano, bass, beatbox and has composed/performed songs for QSE’s shows, Wax Lyrical Theatre Company in Bloke, and in the local pubs in Brisbane. In 2010, Silvan was also awarded an Australia Day Award – Young Artist of the Year for his services to the community through the Arts.
